Hiring the right crew ensures a smooth yacht operation, so Greater Bay Yacht Services acts as the Owner’s representative to help find the most appropriate candidates for your vessel. This includes helping you recruit in relation to the Flag State Safe Manning requirement, ensuring all local HK and international (ILO/IMO) regulations are met.
We conduct face-to-face interviews with each candidate and thoroughly verify their credentials by checking at least three references, certificates and other relevant documents.
We will make sure that your crew meet all the criteria and have the appropriate skills and permissions.

At Greater Bay Yacht Services, our team takes care of ongoing crew contract administration. We provide specialised crew management services that involve creating and implementing crew employment agreements, crew policies, and procedures.

EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
Our crew admin services are provided by a dedicated team specialised in this area. Upon recruitment of each crew member our team will check their certificates and documents to ensure validity and if requested we will carry out pre-employment verification. We will then prepare an approved Employment Agreement in compliance with MLC and Flag regulations. If required we can also set up and manage the employment of the crew through a third party employer and administer all crew salaries.
CREW ADMIN SERVICES
The crew admin team will ensure that all crew certification is kept up to date and relevant people are notified when they are due for renewal. They can also assist with health insurance and any claims that may be needed, as well as VISA requirements and the organisation of any medicals required.
CREW TRAVEL
Thanks to our partners at V.Ships, we are able to offer crew travel services to crew travelling to and from their yachts. V.Travel specialises in flexible marine fares and offers a 24-hour emergency support system. Working with over 1,100 vessels they handle over 300,000 bookings a year.

MLC COMPLIANT
All of the The Crew Network offices are fully MLC 2006 Compliant (Maritime Labour Convention), this certification means that our crew placement offices operate in accordance with MLC regulation 1.4, following the strict requirements. The MLC 2006 came into force as a result of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Initiative that was designed to regulate the employment of seafarers working aboard commercial vessels, including luxury charter yachts that are registered for commercial use, ensuring the protection of welfare and employment conditions and for all seafarers working on those vessels.

We personally interview every one of our candidates, checking no less than three references and compile all certificates, menus, and relevant documents. When your job order is received, we go to work, pooling our resources to identify suitable crew members. Candidates will be carefully screened according to your exact criteria, ensuring that they have the correct tickets, visas, and skills.
